I’m gonna do another social media blitz to get as many people involved as possible. to that end im ipening up 30 minute cosching sessions to help anyone whos feeling squicky about putting their hypeman/promoter hat on.
This is a struggle for a NUMBER of allies and is definstely something im gonna be coaching people through in the book.

Allyship Dojo Week 2: Cleaning up and overcoming Self Sabotage in Allyship

Hey all! We had a blast last week at the Allyship Dojo, waking up to the personality parts that make up our ego structure.
This next week we'll be focused on CLEANING UP. The cleanup phase of effective allyship is all about identifying the parts of us that DON'T want to be effective allies and identifying their deeper needs and getting them met so they don't have to self sabotage.
We'll be using a number of techniques to get in touch with these parts as we continue to work with the Big Mind Method

Hey everyone!
This past month I've been hard at work on the book (up to 19000 words already!)
For the past 2 years I've been hosting an Allyship Dojo in the Allies for Black Americans FB group. This year I've decided to open the event up to my kickstater backers!
The Allyship Dojo will Wednesday May 4th (Star Wars Day) at 6pm PST.
What happens in the Dojo? A little bit of everything. It's designed to be a low pressure high engagement environment for people to learn how to be an effective ally. It's designed to work like a yoga class or martial arts class.
There is a little bit on instruction but mostly its working through forms and exercises to strengthen the core skills that is necessary for Effective Allyship. Each week we focus on one of the stages of Effective Allyship: Waking up, Cleaning Up, Growing Up, and Showing Up.
This Wednesday we'll be focusing on Waking UP and doing a modified version of Genpo Roshi's Big Mind Method.

I’m deeply humbled by making our goal!
I’m so hyped to get started but because of who I am as a human my whole body is like BRO REST.
So I’m gonna do that now😅😅😅
But I wanted to thank y’all from the bottom of my heart and general outline what you can expect from me moving forward plus…a SURPRISE.
In the next few weeks I’m gonna be transferring information to Backerkit to generate a survey to make sure I’ve got all your information. Also people will be able to pre-order the book from there so if anyone has been lamenting hopping on the train they’ll still be taken care of.
Then I’m gonna jump straight into working on the book. For those of you who backed the 4 week course I’ll be reaching out directly to find a time for us to meet and specifically tailor your adventure to the needs of the participants (think of this like prepping for a D&D campaign)
I hope to use this space to provide updates and sneak peek glimpses into the project. My hope is that with your continued support and feedback this will be the best book it can be!
